Counterfeit Beauty. Every year a magazine runs a vote called '100 sexiest women' The women all look stunningly drop-dead gorgeous, lips, breasts, eyes, hair to die for. I noticed in a magazine some of the women on their list, know drug abusers. Hard drinkers. Rehab regulars and many regulars to the parade of the media-meltdown babes. Some have even got their own TV shows parading their dis functionality, their inability to be human-beings and cope in a world that appears to demand so much from them. Some believe they are no longer 'just women', they believe they are almost like a 'super-being' almost different or an another plain of the human race. Yet these are the women, the images that are fed into the minds of men and women alike as something to aim for, to reach for to see as the ultimate aim and gain of the female form. Make small breasts big and big breasts small, remove lumps and bumps from noses, pumped lips, crease free skin. Dysfunction and pursuit of youth at all costs. Yet I wondered as I read this article about the 100 sexiest women what is it that makes a woman truly beautiful? We see all the time the narccistic state of some women, they appear to become destroyers of themselves and those around them. Relationship breakdowns backed up with a fix-it trip into re-hab for good measure. Is that truly the sign of a beautiful woman? I almost feel reserved to write for fear of some backlash yet the reality is the teachers of Zoomanity, the repeaters and conditioners that have formulated the 21st century sexiest women are usually men in packs, in offices, in briefing rooms like a pack of wold wolves searching for their latest prey. These are the ones that are telling young women what men really want yet is that what men really want from their woman? Your women, your daughters! A fake, altered image that represents nothing more than a caricature of the female. An over emphasis on something that rarely exists. Surely it is the obligation of a woman to give her man the best in all things. Surely it is the obligation of a man to give his woman the very best in all things. Yet what is the very best? What is sexy for a woman and sexy for a man? Is it soft words whispered into the ear of a lover as the sun rises or is it a doll-like caricature of a dream like image that rarely exists if ever in reality? No wonder some of those women go into meltdown, no wonder they cannot cope with their existence, no wonder they spend week and month and year after year in rehab. Yet Zoomanity is telling us that is the ideal woman to chase, to pursue to see as the ultimate in female form. Zoomanity sold them the myth, they fell for it and bought it. It's a sad reflection on life but a reality check at the same time. Can women of the future carry on this way? Has it always been this way? Will things never really change? Here's all I know and have observed. It's always a choice, it's always a decision to behave in anyway. We measure our own views of right and wrong usually against the right and wrong rules of what we have been conditioned into unquestioning. 100 Sexiest women...
