Trump Coal Climate and You

Donald Trump Loves Coal - Dirty Bastard!

A true story! One thing that always stood out for me as a young child of around seven was this. We had just moved from Scotland to England. Dad was there before us as he had started a new job in the Prison services. We drive south, headed for the border and eventually we arrived at 4 Bentham Road, Culcheth in Warrington, Cheshire. When we arrived the house was freezing. It was winter and central heating hadn’t arrived in all homes then, as it was 1970.The only place to get warm was the kitchen. As you walked into the kitchen on the left hand side there was a small black cast-iron grate. It had a round opening for the top and a square opening with a large grill at the front. This was the small range fire that was to keep the house warm and it ate coal a lot of black, filthy prehistoric coal. Lightning it was always a drama. After the clean out (and it had to cool down) newspaper tied in knots and then wood had to be lit carefully in a small space. On top of the wood the coal had to be placed and for the next 20-minutes we all had to pray that it had lit or it had to be started all over again. The side effect to the waiting was the thick black smoke that quickly filled the kitchen and slowly made its way around the house until everywhere was stinking of coal. This was real coal not the lightweight smokeless stuff that never really worked in the early days. It came in massive blocks that had to be smashed down with an axe. Because it splintered everywhere when hit with the axe it had to be broken down outside in the snow, rain or whatever the weather. And then finally once the fire had lit the long process of removing the blackness form your skin began and was never completed because it was so black it really didn’t wash off.Can you imagine the disgusting and damaged state of miner’s lungs? Can you imagine the damage and state of miner’s skin? Can you only image the shorted lifespan and painful death of a miner after spending his life hundreds and sometimes thousands of feet down with hardly a gust of anything to remove the toxic filth blowing around him?

Read this extract from a US report in 2014…

Coal mine dust causes a spectrum of lung diseases collectively termed coal mine dust lung disease (CMDLD). These include Coal Workers’ Pneumoconiosis, silicosis, mixed dust pneumoconiosis, dust-related diffuse fibrosis (which can be mistaken for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. CMDLD continues to be a problem in the United States, particularly in the central Appalachian region. Treatment of CMDLD is symptomatic. Those with end-stage disease are candidates for lung transplantation. Because CMDLD cannot be cured, prevention is critical.REF: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4556416/And then the smoke coming out of our chimney was blacker than the blackest night. It truly was pitch black so much so that when it was winter and all the families on the council estate lit their fires you could hardly see down one street to the end of the other. If it was foggy … crap it was triple foggy like Stephen King the fog foggy. Those were the days we had to go inside where all the smoke had already infiltrated to get fresh air.And then there was the infamous miners strike in the UK. People died or I should say were murdered. Thatcher, Scargill and daily rioting on the streets. That was a mess a real destructive mess. And at school some of us smoked. Not me but my pals did. If you wanted a smoke at school you would go behind the school gym and have a smoke next to the mountain of coal that was delivered weekly into the school at the back. Or if you wanted to snog the face off a girl (kiss) you’d also go to where all the filthy coal was (but no touching – the coal that is).I’m glad to see the back of coal. I think even miners that have or got new jobs will be glad to see the back of coal. It’s outdated, it’s dirty, it causes major health issues, it destroys families and getting that stuff out is dangerous.

This is what TRUMP wants to bring back for the sakes of numbers.

Job numbers gives him ratings. And in the new world of reality TV politics the thirst for likes, shares and adoration has never been so great. But we can’t affect that. But we can’t sway his choicesBut we cannot open our mind and give space to such ludicrous actions of a fool and fools into our daily thoughts.

This is Zoomanity at it’s best. This is Zoomanity at it’s most powerful.

Manipulation and deception.Look at those that are ill informed and tell them what you think they want to hear.A child wants to hear its parents tell them it is ok to keep eating sweets but is it ok to keep eating sweets?Never has there been a greater time to stay informed so you can take control of your life and make choices surrounding your life. Are you doing that?Anyway I like people that do their own thing. I always do my own thing and you know there is a lot of TRUMP doing his own thing. But to do your own thing is usually supported by a reason. I like to do my own thing so my life is being lived in a way that, makes me happy. Is a man like TRUMP doing his own thing and making his own decisions for the sake of his country or himself? He portrays the classic zoomanic symptom of a zoomanic leader that has become engulfed in what I call god syndrome. He has the actions of a zoomanic leader looking for a legacy.

His wall should be like the great wall of CCCCCCHINA!

Yet the reality appears to be very different. Now I don’t claim to know him or his actions but I do claim to observe enough to see what is going on beneath the layers. The mass of Zoomanity today is giving this man the attention he desires. That attention is attention that should be given yet if we become to engulfed in that conversation we only give the problem more power. And coal. The facts really are

  • Coal is the 2nd biggest energy source

  • Cola consumption is increasing NOT decreasing

  • It is predicted to rise NOT fall onto 2040

  • USA uses 14%

  • China uses 47%

  • India 9%

  • This is account for 70% of world coal consumption.

Yet rather than talk about the bad things in the USA lets talk about the good.

America is an engine for innovation, invention, creation, new tech, better tech, new world, free world and more.

Now I am not a politics man yet I believe we should always talk openly about the mass controls. The mass controls are politics sex and religion.I don’t want coal. I don’t want the filth. I don’t want the disease that goes with it. I don’t want the pain that it’s loaded with. I don’t want jobs created by trying to resurrect the past. Going back is never a good idea. Going forward is always the best idea. The glories of the past can never be the glories of tomorrow. And surely…For a self-professed man of the Midas touch surely and I mean surely he would be better to educate any out of work miner in the art of the deal, the art of making money and the art of living a better life?Maybe not…Maybe he only understands taking and stripping back with no remorse? Do you think you would ever see him or his family working in a mine? No of course not yet he does want to put people back down there rather than create an educational program that will build new communities and leave a lasting legacy. How very zoomanic. How very zoomanity. How very selfish.I did think; does a miner really want to be a miner or do they want to get paid enough to live a comfortable life?

This is about education not trying to go back in time.

I watched the last Indiana Jones movie. It was made 20-years after the previous. They went back to the same format and same actors. It really didn’t work.I have just watched Alien Covenant. Another film trying to bring back the past. It just didn’t work for me and by reading the reviews a lot of others also. Do we really need to bring back digging for coal? And of course the environment…Lets get one thing straight. It isn’t possible for mankind to destroy the world. The world has survived bigger things than we can ever hit it with. Yet even if the numbers are off the statistics appear to show through scientific proof that a mass extinction is well underway.http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2011/03/are-we-middle-sixth-mass-extinctionI don’t know but what I do know is this. There is always a motive behind the motive. There is always a reason behind the reasoning. There is always something a little lower down where we have to dig a little deeper to find out what.Do you do that?I love the romantic story of getting up in the morning and the range in our kitchen in England being almost white-hot. It was so hot it warmed the whole house. The reality of the smoke and fumes and dirt and filth that came with it is very different to the romance.I am not playing their rules. I am doing my own thing. I have created my life the way I want it to be. There are far too many variables I cannot control. There are also variables I can control. That is why I spent years going through a deliberate recreation of my own life after all this is what I can control. How about you?Peace.Alan Forrest Smith
