I've just seen a man with a dead face talking. As I walked out of my local town from the distance as I walked slowly down the hill I could see a guy sitting on a step. He was wearing a dirty gray hoodie, filthy blue jeans with holes in, his blond hair was long, dirty and matted. In his right hand was a cigarette. He was talking. He looked dead in the face. His skin was gray, almost like a battleship paint color with parts of his face actually peeling away. His eyes were almost black to look at surrounding with a huge circle of pain and hard times. I found it hard to look at him. Actually, he was smiling, he was talking to a girl that looked almost as bad as he did. They were both sat on the step of a drug recovery house. They looked a long way from recovery of any kind. But you know I wondered. I wondered how many times, how many opportunities, how many moments had slipped this guy by. He had seen them and let them go.Why? I have no idea but looking at him right now (without judgment) he was clearly in a place that was literally making him look like the walking dead. I thought about his mother, his father, his siblings and how they would feel if they saw him in this moment?I think the answer is obvious. But here is my point. Five years ago, ten years ago he could have been a young guy with a lot of hope for the future. Dreams of achievement, flying first class, driving his dream machine, living his life at its fullest potential, in a beautiful relationship with the lady of his life. OMG ... what went wrong? Maybe just maybe a moment almost like a small moment forced his hand. Maybe that was the catalyst for his lifestyle now. Maybe he simply found it all too hard and gave up. He is a reject now. He is a dead face talking.I could cry looking at him. He could escape from his hellish life if he wanted to, but he and only he has the keys to escape. You see the start of his escape starts in his mind, his thoughts, his core beliefs and values. His thoughts become things. If he spends every waking moment thinking about his next fix of drugs ... he eventually gets his next fix. If he spends every moment of each day seeing himself free from that trap ... he will eventually break free from the trap of drugs and decline and eventual death.Has something happened to you that you never expected? Failed relationship? Failed business? Failed life? I know, I understand it's tough, it's very very tough. But you are great and within you is the greatness that will stop you ever becoming a dead face talking. You can escape anything. You can escape and survive. Debt. Poverty. Tragedy. Divorce. And just about any other calamity life can throw at you that you might be going through right now ... YOU CAN escape. The young guy with the dead face could escape but he needs to change his thinking. Whatever you are going through right now, bad anything ... you can escape. Life is never what we expect and that's the fun of the ride so we have to look for and search for a way out. Look I not only want to encourage you but I want you to know I might have what you are looking for. I can help you but first, you have to help yourself.Have you ever seen a small pond on the beach next to the ocean? You know the kind of pond that used to be connected to the sea. Whilst it is connected to the sea it is part of a powerful force of nature that can swallow up whole civilizations in minutes. Whilst it is on it's own, it's as good as dead, lifeless and stinking. Are you disconnected from what is good for you? Your source of life, your natural power? If that's the case you must re-discover your source of power and then and only then will you become strong again. The man, you know the man at the start with the dead face talking... this guy had a moment in his life that maybe only lasted a second but his changed his life for the worst. It will only take another moment to change his life for the better. Be encouraged for yourself, be strong and rediscover your real meaning and purpose. Then you will avoid forever becoming a dead face talking. I really hope this article has helped you personally. Tell me, share your thoughts, post a comment on my blog and don't forget to add your web address as I get stacks of traffic, I'd love to share some with you.ThanksAlan Forrest Smith
