I'm drinking coffee more coffee and thinking...

We woke up.The boiler is broke, the apartment is cold so it's a coffee shop morning.Don't get me wrong we do this everyday but today is two coffees rather than one because Thursday holds something for me I used to fight. It's this.Thursday would always be the end of the week but not quite. When I work I don't and could never do a regular 8-hour day. I do more in an hour than most works would do over a week. This is a compression of time for a maximum of output. I mean it isn't actual called that but that's the effect. This is turn frees my time to do more of the happier things in life. Now the Thursday thing. By Wednesday I'm usually done with work so by Thursday I need a very slow start to my day. So I am here with my darling Tamuna, my darling wife drinking coffee whilst she reads and I dream.Next to us there's a really old guy. I'd say 75 at a guess and I suppose not that old by today's standard (look at Stallone and Arnie!).Anyway he is talking with his granddaughter. She is around 6-7-years old with long bed swept curly tangled hair. She loves her grandad, I can see and hear that as he shares his story of when he was involved building the channel tunnel from England to France. The old man is animated whilst the child is rigid, smiling and holding to his every word. She keeps asking about working under the sea and can't seem to get her head around her grandad working on the sea bed. This is a moment this young girl will talk about for years after grandad passes away. it's important to share our history with children after all you are history right now, today this very moment even in the smallest way.People pass through coffee shops are so busy, fast, moving and meeting. A small black Audi A3 has pulled up outside. A young man is driving. His young son jumps put and runs into the coffee shop. Cappuccino and chocolate please he asks. His eyes only just reach above the counter.I loved that. It's a great small and simple way to train a child to adapt into a world that is still new to his young years. Before he knows it he'll be drinking coffee galore daily like me!Hummmm! Two guys are sitting near me.One a solicitor (eeeek) and the other getting a divorce. Well kind of a divorce. He wasn't married to her but according to the 5'6' bald man in the old well worn blue suit she's a bitch. The solicitor has asked if he still sees her. He replies yes on Facebook and then explains why he won't unfriend her. He's just seen her in Mexico with a new guy and their 10-year old son. That hurts! The man is hurting himself by remain attached to the woman. If it is over surely it is better to detach completely? Maybe he wants her back?Life throws all kinds of things at us. Divorce will always be one of the worst regardless of the circumstance. Let's face it death is fast if death arrives but divorce is a long painful process that can lead to death.Or it can make the strong person I am today. Well not make the strong person but bring out or reveal the person you really are, were, can be and have become.

OMG this coffee shop is far too hot.

I decided to learn another language.I almost learnt Kartuli or Georgian. One of the rarest languages in the world.ვიცი ქართული ენა ჩემი ცოლი საქართველოდან ... ;-)My English isn't bad ;-)So ... why not another language it's there to do right.Italian.It sounds so sexy and happy yet they look like they love to fight verbally.Learning keeps us alive, boredom of the mind destroys us slowly. So now and then it's good to challenge the mind. Italian it is. Sexy!My wife is reading next to me. She loves Monocle and buys monocle everything. I like that. She keeps me up to date with things I don't want to read. She looks beautiful from her side profile. Her olive skin, large brown Caucasus eyes and endlessly thick dark brown hair with a hint of red. God only knows how she puts up with me.I'm working on a project I named Deliberate Recreation.  It's going well but involves a ton of thinking and self analysis of life. Not for everyone but keeps me at my very best. Maybe its like sharpening a blade? Life makes us blunt. It's always a good thing to stop now and then and sharpen what we have.I'm also working on my first major novel. It's funny how writing through can push me to tears. There area a lot of characters and a mysterious guy. So far so good. This is my biggest writing project ever. I'm not sure how long it'll take to finish but there's no time on it. Did you know it took Tolstoy 7-years to write war and peace?Time is a restraint so there is no restraint to creating something greater than great and after a week in Italy going through masters of art and creation I understand that more than ever.Time to walk back hand in hand with Tamuna. If you liked what you read or have a comment to leave please do below.Yours in recreationAlan Forrest SmithDid you read the book - Escape from Zoomanity?
