Has the world really changed forever post-COVID-19?
Not only are we being told it has we are also being told that the changes will remain forever. The phrase they use is “NEW NORMAL.”
We’ve heard it for weeks, months and looks like if our ‘leaders’ have their way we will be hearing it a lot longer.
They keep repeating and embedding into minds …
The world has changed, it’ll never be the same again, we will have to adjust to the new normal. You have no option!
The options offered are unthought and rarely mind-focused.
You can have beer delivered to your home from your favourite pub. You can order online and your favourite restaurant will deliver takeaway in a plastic tub. And you can no longer go to watch football in a stadium but you can watch it free on TV. It’ll be better than ever as you can watch absolutely free from home.
And also … wear face-masks forever, wear rubber gloves forever, source and find protective clothing at all times and make sure there are plastic sheet or PVC and walls between you and other human beings. If you take your kids to school make sure the kids to sit inside a circle and have no contact with other kids. No touching, no singing, no anything.
The new normal is a life of function and no longer pleasure… Apparently.
This is the ‘new normal.’
Or so they say.
The NEW NORMAL is a future problem waiting to happen!
What we are reading and hearing through the media are opinions of those that either hasn’t lived enough life to see the reality of human life and the reality of life as a human or aren’t historically informed enough to see beyond this moment.
Yes, it has been dramatic. Yes, the fear campaign has been overwhelming. Yes, people have died.
Yet, the world has been in far far worst positions than this – far worse. There is nothing new about a pandemic. There is everything new about the speed of news and ideas and the way ideas are merged and fed globally. And in a world where many want the significance of being a leader, being correct and being in control it is easier to follow the leader than react in a way that protects a nation in the longer term.
We are told that everything is based on science yet we have Nobel winning scientists and experts telling us the exact opposite to what their counterparts are saying.
We Are Human
Humans just like you can survive all kinds of things but there is one thing humans struggle to survive and that is this. Being asked to no longer be human. We are being asked – no told – that doing what humans love to do and have to do to thrive should no longer be done.
Yet for example, buying clothing isn’t about going online and ordering something it is a fulfilment of an internal feeling of what we visualise for ourselves. This allows us to feel good and look good about ourself and life. Trying clothing on with a friend and laughing in the changing room is part of that feeling. They want to remove that. Restaurant food isn’t about eating food from that restaurant. Some of my favourite restaurants do not create the best food. They create a magical package that FEELS good. The atmosphere, the sounds, the laughs, the people and the moments when you sit with your lover and enjoy each other whilst savouring foods you don’t cook at home. We are being asked to no longer do this.
Life isn’t just about function. Robots and machines function. We do not. Have you ever seen a robot getting a tattoo or changing its own coverings? Why do humans get them? It is a feeling, not just an act. And just look at some of those that are spelling out the new normal. Do they look and sound normal themselves or do they look and sound like the type of people that either have no idea and simply repeat or do they have the look and feel of someone that rarely leaves the house apart to head over to their laboratory?
Human experimentation has been tried many times over the decades. Experiments of humankind are nothing new. From Nimrod to Alexander, from one pharaoh to another pharaoh or to the army like a fixed mindset of the Romans. Yet – where are they all now? Mind viruses that make other humans do the worst of things are nothing new. The Nazis or the Communists – where are they all now?
Yet when you begin to ask humans to stop being human it is a failed experiment from the start. It will culminate in rebellion. The human cannot resist or stop being human.
We Had a Virus – Not a New Normal
The reality is we have had a deadly virus. The reality is this virus is a selective virus. The reality is almost anyone catching this virus is fine. The reality is viruses make most of us STRONGER rarely weaker. Our body is designed to fight.
So do we start to stop being human because of this virus and every virus to follow? Viruses have come and gone. Restrictions have been put in place. Once everything feels safe – humans become humans again. Once the fear wanes, humans become humans again. Once the endless message feeds stop pouring into minds, humans always become humans again.
Humans Are Simple Complicated Things.
Going for a haircut is a wonderful experience. Enjoying times with groups of friends is a wonderful experience. Watching the expression on another person’s face is a wonderful moment. The new normal is about function, not humanity or human experience.
I love sitting inside a packed coffee shop watching, observing and enjoying the company of others. I love being human.
The novelty of endless binge TV, exercising in your lounge dressed as a superhero, singing on your balcony or not jumping up to rush to the office and being paid to stay home by the government is what it is – an unsustainable novelty. It can never replace being human.
The Future Will Be Just.
The truth is for me there are certain cafes I use that are dirty. One of the biggest chains close to my home is always dirty – Cafe Nero. I can only see their hygiene getting dramatically better after the storm of COVID-19 passes.
Slowly people will start to mingle once more. People will return to bars and pubs. Humans will return to their humanity again.
There is, of course, another side to the NEW NORMAL. Apart from the huge sales and profits of rubber gloves, plastic sheets, sterilisers and other pollutants. Where will all of that be thrown and discarded once this hysteria has passed?
The new normal is simply the opinion of the inexperienced, fearful and ill-informed.
Hold on tight because a wonderful future is coming very soon. And this time next year … we will all be asking what the hell was that.
Humanity is on his/her way back.
The new normal doesn’t exist. You cannot stop humans being humans.
