Susan makes all her decisions on logic, pure logic, always with no exceptions. Her teachers told her to think about it. Her parents would tell her to give it much thought. Her peers would say think it over and then decide. Yet what Susan had been discovering in her life that there had been lots of times when her logical, well thought out decision had caused her lots of pain, regret and confusion. Susan was faced with another choice. It was a decision to move home from a place she loved to a new place. Logic kept telling her it be closer to work, it’ll be better for promotion, it’ll make her stronger, it won’t take long to make new friends. When faced with the choice her heart and body said ‘NO’ in a split second yet … her logic kicked in again. Her friends and family gave her the usual advice and Susan decided to really think this one through. The thought of moving made her feel sick. The feeling of a new area made her feel scared. The dread of being away from friends would keep her awake all night long yet her logic, her mind kept singing the same old song of ‘MOVE’ … it’s logical. Susan’s heart and body and spirit told her NO. Her logic told her yes. Susan’s life and the lives of those around her have always taken logic as the first step forward. This time, again, Susan followed logic. Despite the inner pain she felt she moved home and after just 6 days was on the phone crying to everyone telling them how unhappy she was there. Six months later, six months of pain, six months of heartbreak Susan moved back to the place that gave her what her body needed to be happy. She was home. So why is it so many of us do things using logic when even the thought of doing them makes us feel almost sick? It’s actually very simple. In modern times we are mostly no longer in touch with ourselves, we are no longer aware or in touch with the power that we have inside of us. Let me give you an example. When I had the unique chance of going into the Amazon to visit tribal Indians there it very quickly became apparent that the Indians are very different to any average human being we could meet anywhere right now. They have NO SENSE of logic. The decisions they make are based on how the feel and sense things. They use their sense in line with their spirit to make choices. If the outcome looks bad or FEELS bad to their body and unsettling to their spirit… THEY DON’T do it. Logic doesn’t even come into it. So it’s interesting that in modern times we are taught always to make the logical choice even when that choice gives us pain after pain after pain. When the reality is the pain you feel after making a choice based on logic is actually your ‘being’ telling you… DON’T DO IT… or face the pain. That pain is our human spirit becoming unsettled and damaged by logic. So the obvious argument could be ‘but we need logic to measure things and make them fit’ and yes we do. But there are times when logic won’t serve us as humans and you will know that by how you FEEL. So the times that we go beyond how we feel are the times when we are no longer in touch with our real selves but are being driven by our ego. Our ego likes us to feel good, feel important, feel superior, feel special yet to the REAL human that is touch with themselves, the ones that have learned how to BE and how to FEEL are the ones that are no longer affected by the decisions offered by logic. Logic is a liar, can be a liar and will continue to be a liar. Why? Because logic is a set of rules set by who? Yes they are precepts and guides set by other people. They set these guides on the way they felt. yet they way they feel is probably nothing like the way you would feel over the same matter. In other words we have been conditioned into believing that logic will always work better for us. It’s clear that a lot of logic pains us. Logic … is a LIAR!
