Are you an Action Static?

If you said yes, you could be in danger, if you said no idea … you need to read this post.

If you recognize yourself you will be provoked into something!

I have just got back from London where I was lecturing. Lecturing about life-changing action to an audience of eager to listen attendees.

At the back of the room sat a guy I have seen at a lot of training weekends as a student.

I noticed him when he walked in. He is an Action Static.

When he walked in he wore a very smart dark blue pine striped suit. In his right hand he carried a small black briefcase with gold locks. His shoes were well polished black in the classic brogue style. His red tie his white shirt, his overall clean cut look looked ready for action.

For a minute I imagined him waking in the morning, telling his wife he would be working for the day, learning new things designed to build his business and make him money and make their life better.

He looked fantastic when he left the house so why wouldn’t she believe him? And away he went from his home only to arrive an hour later at the seminar.

He’s an Action Static, I know that for a fact.

I spoke to him and asked him who he was, why he was here today. I really was curious after all I have seen this guys face for years when I have been speaking all over the UK.

He told me he was there to listen to the experts, learn from them so he could walk away and take massive action.

I asked him if he had seen any of the… continue reading

Here’s a very simple question; If I bought enough food for myself for 5 days but 5 people came to my home to eat, how long would the food last?

Obvious right? It would vanish into every ones bellies in a day of course.

So in other words; I would instantly shorten my weeks rations to one single day.

Did you know mankind currently uses FIVE PLANET EARTHS as resources?

So if planet earth was designed to last lets just say 5 years, with the speed we use everything the Earth will only last a year.

Interesting don’t you think?

Why is this?

We are a global community built on assumptions.

We are told to buy better, buy newer, want more, want it now, collect more, demand more. TV on demand, movies on demand, contact on demand, high-speed internet, super-duper-mega broadband, new cellphones, even newer cellphones.

Throw away furniture, throw away cameras, throw away EARTH!

Think about this and if you are the selfish "my life is fine, leave me alone non thinking being" you won’t like what I am saying but the reality is this.

The stuff to make more stuff has to come from somewhere.

For example: plastics the you cellphone is made from come from Oil. Oil comes from the ground and is a natural resource. In the Amazon jungle alone where I went last year hundred upon hundred of displaced amazonian Indians have been murdered by the modern day "conquistadors" in their unquenchable thirst for oil and more cash.

Murder to strong a word? No it’s a fact, I have been there myself!

Why do they want more oil? To feed demand, yours and my demands for more.

However now only to they feed demand but they have… continue reading

There’s a movie out right now by Woody Allen called, Vicky, Christine, Barcelona.

I watched it last night at the movies.

There were so many parodies (as there are in Allen’s movies) but one in particular really got me.

I think you’ll have seen this time and time again.

It was the person looking for something, looking for themselves, looking for nirvana, looking for their own personal path but willing to do, try almost anything to have another ‘experience’ on the way.

She thinks (again) she has found it in this very unconventional lifestyle with a crazy bohemian artist and falls head over heels in love with every aspect of that lifestyle.

The artists wife (complex relationship) is suspicious of her. She thinks she is just using them to ‘try’ something new. Here gut tells her that. The artist himself, he is a true eccentric artist only interested in love and art. He doesn’t really care.

So the day comes when the young American that had fallen in love with everything within this crazy lifestyle realizes that…"this isn’t what I want" and she tells them both one morning in the kitchen.

The artist accepts it and says "lets be thankful for the time we shared together" but his wife, played by the drop-dead-gorgeous Penelope Cruz goes totally nuts at her and screams three times …

Chronic Dissatisfaction – Chronic Dissatisfaction – Chronic Dissatisfaction … you have that illness.

Interesting. Because I love Woody Allen’s stuff. I like how he thinks. I love the fact he can really see life and write about it and put it on a screen.

And for him to add this ‘illness’ called Chronic Dissatisfaction says a lot.

It tells me he has seen it on the streets, in life, in people daily, weekly,… continue reading
